Woohoo! Right off the bat I’ll tell you that I really like all the items in the June 3b bag. 3b (Beauty Beyond Borders) is a new Asian Beauty subscription service like an Asian version of Birchbox since all skincare and cosmetics are from Asia. The service to try deluxe size samples costs only $12 a month! At this moment I believe they are only shipping to the USA and there still seems to be a wait list that they are trying to make a dent into. So if you’re interested in trying this out for a cool $12 go to the3bbox.com for more info. Click below the full review! (more…)

I know I’m VERY late to post the May Mask Maven bag since I already received the June one but I honestly contemplated in not even doing a review for May since it was just OKAY (also because of other things going on in my life like finding a new job and going to Vegas for a bachelorette getaway). However after receiving the June Mask Maven, I noticed Beauteque improved on some things I felt were lacking in their new subscription service endeavors. For records sake, I’m posting the May Mask Maven and some initial thoughts and
I will definitely post a June review before the month is over like a good blogger should. Yea, that didn’t happen but you should still read June’s review, haha. (more…)
Alert: There is a new AB (Asian Beauty) Subscription Service on the rise! I’m a new subscriber to The 3b Box – 3b standing for Beauty Beyond Borders. You’ve probably arrived at my page some way, some how because you’re interested in learning more about Korean/Taiwanese/Japanese Beauty and there’s no better way to start diving in by SAMPLING to see what right for your skincare/makeup goals and needs.
3b is a monthly subscription priced at $12/month, shipping included! You get 4 – 5 DELUXE samples in each month with an info card that gives you tips on how to use your new goodies (previously there were some FULL-SIZE surprises!).
According to their website, samples will range from go-to fan favorites like Etude House, Skin Food, Tony Moly to high-end like SK-II, Kanebo, and Sulwhasoo. They even translate the descriptions of each product in order to remove the language barrier to make these great, innovative products more accessible to you – hence their company name, Beauty Beyond Borders. The second Mask Maven bag arrived early April but I didn’t get to “unbox” (unbag?) until now. There were lots of other reveals from bloggers but the unique thing is that we all can get different “flavors” of masks from the same series. This will be shorter than my last post, first impressions only.
First overall impression: I like this April bag a WHOLE lot better than their launch bag in March. It was so disappointing that their very first bag was half-full of lower quality masks that didn’t have a great ingredients list, i.e. their star ingredients listed at the very bottom of the list. This made me question my commitment to a 6-month subscription but the April bag is keeping me hopeful for May.
If you’re not familiar with Beauteque’s Mask Maven see my introductory post here. See their March Launch bag here. (more…)
I came back from Taipei for only 1 week and I had already put in an Asian Beauty haul from Rose Rose Shop (RRS). -___- You would think I was done with shopping but I had a small excuse to fit in a haul. (And my Taipei travel haul to come – it’s impressive).
My boyfriend asked me again if there was anything HE could do for his dark eye circles. While I did find the Petitfée Gold & EGF Hydrogel Eye Patches in Taipei’s local beauty store, 86 Shop, they only carried the eye and spot patch variety and I wanted the full ying and yang eye patch shape. (See the differences below in my post.) (more…)
