Review: Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Moisture Watery Cream (Pink Jar – For Dry Skin)

The Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Moisture Watery Cream was one of my first K-beauty face creams but just like a first boyfriend, it probably wasn’t meant to last. I’ve debated if I wanted to write this review because it’s such an old product that already has tons of reviews however it’s also a Nature Republic classic that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. Ever since K-beauty made it big in the United States, there has also been an influx of newer, flashier brands getting my attention but I won’t forget some of my first-timers when I started building a Korean beauty routine. I suppose this post is more of a nod to my 2015 K-beauty beginner self. That said, this is a great starter face cream for those on a budget and starting their skincare journey.

Review: Peripera (Non)-Watery Face Pride Up Cushion Pact – SPF 50, PA+++

The Peripera Watery Face Pride Up! BB Cushion is my second cushion so I’m no BB cushion expert but I can already firmly say that this cushion sucks. This is going to be a quick review for others to stay away because it’s not worth buying for all the reasons to follow. If you see this cushion go on super sale, do not fall into temptation. It was $5 on a Memebox sale and $10 at the JKN Lee sample sale. You’ll also see the same cushion repackaged with Disney’s Frozen characters on it since it has a snowflake theme on the casing. It’s SPF 50, PA+++ and I bought it in shade 2 Vanilla Beige. Click to see my complete rants about this product. View Post

Review: J:DEW Green Moist Essence – OMG That Lavender/Bergamont Scent

I received the J:DEW Green Moist Essence complimentary for review from an online Korean cosmetics and skincare shop, Q-depot. I have dry skin and wanted something that would provide moisture and/or brightening. Working with Q-depot, they were kind enough to give me three J:DEW options in the format of a face cream, emulsion or essence. I love the concentrated power of essences/serums so I opted for that choice and I’m very impressed thus far in my two weeks of testing. Key ingredients are organic aloe vera and green tea from Jeju Island and adenosine that will fade away wrinkles and bring firmness back to skin. And can I just say that I love, LOVE the lavender and bergamont scent it has? This product was a super surpriser because I wasn’t expecting much from a brand I’ve never heard of before.
