Unboxing July 3b (Beauty Beyond Borders) Box – Umm, the Skinfood edition

I got my July bag from 3b Box and everything in this month’s bag was from the popular food-based theme brand, Skinfood. Their company motto is “good food for health is also good for the skin” so they incorporate the ingredients from antioxidant-rich and nutritious foods like broccoli, tomatoes and caviar into skincare and makeup. I think I heard the majority of Instagrammers groan when they saw that this month featured one brand, and a ubiquitous brand in K-Beauty at that. But I’ll dive more into this in the review.

If you’re not familiar with Beauty Beyond Borders, 3b is a new Asian Beauty subscription service – kind of like an Asian version of Birchbox since all skincare and cosmetic samples are from Asia. The service to try 4 – 5 deluxe size samples and costs only $12 a month! At this moment I believe they are only shipping to the USA and there still seems to be a wait list that they are trying to make a dent into. So if you’re interested in trying this out for a cool $12 go to The 3b Box for more info.  View Post

Unboxing June Beauteque Mask Maven Bag – Improvements on the Subscription!

This is my fourth Mask Maven bag with Beauteque and I’m starting to see improvements over the subscription program since Mask Maven is a new subscription option that started March 2015. Firstly, their Info Card actually has benefits information for each mask (not just a generic “how-to-use” instructional card). Secondly, from their blog post, the June bag is themed! Prior bags did not have a theme and I felt like masks were just haphazardly thrown togeether. June’s theme is Anti-aging. Thirdly, I feel that the selection of masks improved a bit (no more poopie sheet masks please!).

This month, there was also a Thank You card personally signed by the Mask Maven Coordinator, Anna, acknowledging that they are listening to our comments about the subscription. Let’s go into this month’s “un-masking” to see the improvements and the 10 new masks I got!

Review: Mishibox June Launch Box

Mishibox has finally launched in June 2015 with their first ever kbeauty stuffed box! I think this box will be great for someone who is just starting to experiment with kbeauty brands but probably not for someone who is more seasoned and passed the “kbeauty curve” – that is, someone who is has already hoarded and gone through piles of kbeauty products already. My first reaction to seeing the spoiler on instagram/facebook was “crap! I just bought that aloe gel two weeks ago!” Again, this is the not the right box for everyone! I will explain more in my post ahead. View Post

Unboxing June 3b (Beauty Beyond Borders) Box

Woohoo! Right off the bat I’ll tell you that I really like all the items in the June 3b bag. 3b (Beauty Beyond Borders) is a new Asian Beauty subscription service like an Asian version of Birchbox since all skincare and cosmetics are from Asia. The service to try deluxe size samples costs only $12 a month! At this moment I believe they are only shipping to the USA and there still seems to be a wait list that they are trying to make a dent into. Unboxing May Beauteque Mask Maven Bag – Just OKAY

I know I’m VERY late to post the May Mask Maven bag since I already received the June one but I honestly contemplated in not even doing a review for May since it was just OKAY (also because of other things going on in my life like finding a new job and going to Vegas for a bachelorette getaway). However after receiving the June Mask Maven, I noticed Beauteque improved on some things I felt were lacking in their new subscription service endeavors. For records sake, I’m posting the May Mask Maven and some initial thoughts and I will definitely post a June review before the month is over like a good blogger should. Yea, that didn’t happen but you should still read June’s review, haha.  View Post
