Your best bet at getting the best stock at the JKNLEE K-Beauty Sample Sale is by getting there as early as 10:30AM! There were some new things that were put out as I didn’t recognized some items (I crept by the window at night because they wouldn’t let you in past 6pm). They have a very organized way of allowing the maximum amount of people through the doors as a means of crowd control. Each shopper is handed a plastic shopping bag with a number on it and when the shopper pays and exits, a new shopper gets their chance inside. They kept their promise that they DO restock everyday and the famous CLIO Kill Black Brush Eyeliner was sitting pretty in the back for $10 (includes a mini cleansing oil)! In fact, there were new items that I didn’t recognize and the cashier confirmed that “it will look a little different everyday”.

Products were marked by price “zones” (as cheap as $1.50 per item!) although not all products fell into a zone and you would need to ask for further clarification. I’ll note these later on my post below.
Be aware that this is still a sample sale and many products will have its old packaging dating as back as 2012 (that’s FOUR years ago). All the eyeliners are NON-black and expect many different formats and finishes (pearly, glittery, potted, liquid, pens, brush liner within-a-pot, etc) so look for as much English as you can (kudos if you can read Korean) or ask a staff member.
With that, don’t be scared to ask the staff questions as they are employees from the Club Clio store in Union Sq. I needed to ask for their recommendation on what skin color was best for my skin because the box wasn’t so clear on labeling (as with most other items in the store). There’s also a Mandarin speaking employee as well.
If you have time, definitely research more on the products I’ve shown to see if if will fit your skin’s color or needs. A lot of the hold up in store happens when shoppers simply don’t know what a product will do or how it will look like. I was sorta interested in the CLIO Founwear Cushion ($20 with refill) but not sure if I should pull the trigger and after researching a bit on the color and formula, I decided to give it a try after confirming a staff person that the color will fit my skin.

Lots of lippies from Clio, Peripera, and Tony Moly. Some are marked at $5 flat
Closer look. I recommend the Clio Gelpresso Melting Liptick. It’s a lipstick and balm in one where you can get decent pigment and the moisturization of a balm. I have two from the Peach and Lily Sample Sale. Tony Moly lip glosses and Fruit Princess glosses on the right.
It was hard to figure out what your color in the CLIO Diamond Lipstick because there’s only a chart with the NAMES of the colors but no color chart to reference and they don’t allow you to open the boxes.
I found a color chart online if you want to pull reference it quickly but it wasn’t worth it to me.
Still in the $5.50 Zone/3 for $15
Peripera sparkly eyeliners, CLIP Gelpresso Melting Lipsticks, Peripera Lash Serum, and Tony Moly Fruit Princess gloss.
Not that much Tony Moly stuff here but these were new today. I wonder why the cleanser with “rotus extract” is at a sample sale… ha
$5.50 Zone/3 for $15: Peripera lippies in the pencil packaging, eyeshadow trio and mini milky tints in a tin case (full sized Milky Tints were in the $1.50 Zone/ 5 for $5).
Don’t bother looking for a Black color, it ain’t here. In fact DON’T BUY A PENCIL LINER AT ALL because I bought a brown one and it dried out – hard as a rock.
This corner was popular and crowded because gals were in search of BLACK EYELINER but you actually need to go to your LEFT passed the Goodal Gold Snail tower and it’s in a special $10 area all on its own (but if you didn’t come in the morning, it will mostly have sold out already).
$7.50 Zone/ 3 for $20 – More colored liquid liner in pearly finishes and in different formats (pots, felt tip, twist-turn, etc). Tony Moly Egg Soaps (for your face) also in da house.
Peripera Nail Art Stickers were new – $1.50 per pack, the silver boxes next to them are shimmery liquid eyeshadows.
Tony Moly nail polishes, lip pots, eyeshadows and Clio Gelpresso Glow Tints in the $3.50 Zone/ 5 for $15. The green lip pots will actually turn pink upon application.
Finally the cheapest, $1.50 Zone/5 for $5! Nail polishes, eyeshadow singles, Clio Virgin Kiss Milky Tints (I had to look up the colors on my phone). EDIT: I ended up buying two on the last day.
This corner is where you will find the KILL BLACK BRUSH LINER SET! It’s $10 and you can only get a limit 30 pieces only (per day). That seems like a really generous “limit”…
The CLIO Kill Cover Founwear Cushion is $20 – it’s ONLY in the 003 shade “By Linen” or 004 Bo Ginger and comes with a refill in sleek black packaging EDIT: I bought the CLIO BB Cushion on the last day in 004 Bo Ginger. The left is the Collagen Facial Mist (price not marked).
$10 For the Eyebrow pouch kit and Kill Brown Tinted Tattoo set

Ostia Snail Sheet Masks. To clarify, ALL these masks have Snail mucin as the main ingredient and each of the gems on the packaging (kinda) signifies a different function like Pearl is Brightening, Jade is Pore Care, Sapphire is Moisturization, etc.
Ask staff what each one means since the package itself doesn’t clearly say its function. But main ingredient is snail mucin which is great for healing, moisturization, evening the complexion, etc. The gems on the box to me is kinda gimmicky but I snagged a Pearl one – JUST ONE BOX. (Gotta be good…)
New item today was the Milk body wash and lotion set. Next to it is a pack of 5 sheet masks from SOO AE for $5/box. Check the front markings for it’s function.
My Haul
Finally my haul! I happen to like Goodal and I went for the Luminant Plus Brightening Essence, The Phytorain Maca Radiance Toner, and Phytorain Amazon Energy Oil – 3 for $20.
$10 each so why not.
I already tried the Peripera Egg Face Foun Balm from the Peach and Lily Sample Sale and I liked it enough to buy another. I’m shade #23 which is darker of the two available shades. The Peripera Water Face Pride Up! is a BB Cushion and when I opened it today the puff is so small compared to my Missha! The puff isn’t what I’m used to, it’s also not made out of rubycell (the blue non-absorbant material) so I’ll just use this for funsies and toss it.
EVERYONE! The KILL BLACK BRUSH EYELINER with mini cleansing oil as its side kick. $10. The other two, Clio Gelpresso Gel Liner in Gold and a sucky, dried out pencil liner for $5 next to it. Blah. The Clio Glow Tint for $3.50 – I had to check several to make sure it wasn’t a bad one. Beware! It’s still a sample sale after all.
Free foil pack (not a sheet mask) with purchases over a certain amount (you’re not missing out though) and the Ostia sheet masks $10/box, 10 sheet masks in a box).
The Osita has the same “gel” type mask similar to the Freeset Donkey Milk Masks (I tried one tonight right away). It pilled on my face but I’m wondering if my toner had anything to do with that. Most likely I won’t buy another box tomorrow.

When I read your blog, I opened my box to check if my Clio Kill Brown pencil liner was dry or not-thankfully it wasn’t. Great review and pictures! It was too crowded for me to take pictures. Nice! I ended up getting the Kill Cover Cushion too. The formula has ampoule in it and it soaked through the sealed sticker which made it unseal lol. I think it’s still good but that means that I should use it kinda soon so the whole thing doesn’t dry out.
Sweet haul. I love shopping vicariously through others hehe. Looks so much mellowed than the chaos of P&L. –Angela

Thank you! It was REALLY hard to keep myself from buying the Gold Snail line because everyone else was buying 10 boxes at once. I just had to look at my spreadsheet with my inventory to let it go. I went back the last day and bought a Clio cushion and some more of the facial oil because it absorbed very well and my skin liked it a lot the first night I tried it. It was thank god sort of mellow because they regulated the line very well and because it was only one room. The only chaos was when the line to pay extended to where the merch was and it was hard to shop when there’s a wall of standing women with shopping bags. My damage was still over $100 though, yikes!

This store only sells brands from Club Clio, Peripera, Goodal, Dr. G, Soo AE, and Derma Dr. Lab (with more brands if you’re looking for sheet masks) so they will have sunscreen from these brands only.
