Review: Laniege Lip Glowy Balm

Review: Laniege Lip Glowy Balm

Laniege made its famous Lip Sleeping Mask in 2017 when it relaunched its brand in Sephora. Some people love it but others found it really made no difference than using any other lip balm. I’m in the camp of the latter – the Lip Sleeping Mask is just okay. Of course I had to try the hype but when the Lip Glowy Balm came into the picture in 2019 as the tote-able day-version of the Lip Sleeping Mask I gave Laniege my money so quickly. THIS lip balm is the winner in my book.

I actually have both the Berry and Peach flavors and I like both a lot. The “Berry” from the Lip Sleeping Mask actually smells and tastes more like bubblegum to me. The Berry in the Lip Glowy Balm is much more fruit-like and the Peach is just as sweet! These melt over my lips and they really absorb. It doesn’t feel sticky and I declare that I cannot live without it! These will be re-purchased over and over again!

The packaging is also just a bit more luxe than your good ole drugstore lip balm. The lip dispenser tip is clear and slanted which applies the balm nicely on my lips. There is a very slight tint to these balms but it’s nothing that will change the color majorly on your lips which I don’t mind so much as these were bought mainly for hydration, not for pigmentation.
